The Great Place to Work Institute UK has ranked Clyde Marine Training as the 13th Best Small Workplace in the United Kingdom. This achievement comes straight after they claimed 10th Place in the wider Best Workplaces Scotland in March this year.

Clyde Marine Training is the UK's largest maritime training organisation, and has recently achieved substantial growth in other business sectors under the division of Clyde Safety, including the supply of uniforms and workwear, Portable Appliance Testing and Fire Extinguisher sales and servicing. The company has also previously been a finalist and winner at the Glasgow Business Awards for its outstanding achievements.

Colin McMurray, Managing Director of Clyde Marine Training, said: "I am delighted with this achievement, especially as it follows shortly after our success at the Scotland awards earlier this year. It is a great testament to the staff we have working at Clyde Marine Training who together continue to make it a great place to work."

The Best Small Workplaces Awards recognises organisations which have developed a culture of high trust and championed excellence in people management practices.

Tom O'Byrne, Chief Executive, Great Place to Work Institute UK said: "On behalf of everyone at Great Place to Work, I congratulate all our winners for their outstanding achievement in being ranked one of the UK's Best Workplaces for 2011."

Clyde Marine Training collected their well-deserved trophy at the awards ceremony which was held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on 25th May.
