Sauchiehall Street: Road Closure Update

Following the building fire on Sauchiehall Street and subsequent road closure, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has been in discussions with Glasgow City Council regarding clarification on the progress of repair works to update the business community.
Glasgow City Council has informed us that contractors are now on site and 2 cranes are to be positioned to start the removal of debris followed by the necessary propping up works. It is estimated that this will take 3 / 4 weeks and at the end of these works, we are to be informed by the City Council when the road is expected to be reopened.
