The race is on to find Scotland's most eco-friendly firms as the 2011 Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) Awards application deadline draws nearer.
Now in its twelfth year, the leading environmental awards scheme aims to recognise businesses of all sizes and sectors employing environmental best practice in their daily activity to cut down on resource use, increase sustainability, improve reputation and benefit their company's bottom-line.
Over the past decade, the free-to-enter awards have produced winners from across Scotland, and previous winners and commended companies have included household names such as Bausch & Lomb, Robert Wiseman Dairies, Coca-Cola Enterprises and Mitsubishi, to name but a few.
As the awards are created through a partnership of Scotland's leading specialist environmental organisations, all businesses that make the shortlist receive expert advice on how to make improvements to their site.
VIBES is also the only Scottish awards scheme which feeds into the European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE). By winning a VIBES Award, companies are eligible to enter the EBAE, which attract entries from the cream of Europe's most environmentally positive businesses.
All entries must be received before the 8 July deadline. For more information or to obtain an application form visit www.vibes.org.uk
