Carbon Accounting in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Workshop
Published by Anne Marie Hughes on Sat 09 Jun 12 @ 22:10
Members are invited to participate in the first ICARB stakeholder workshop on Carbon Accounting in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
ICARB (Initiative for Carbon Accounting) is sponsored by the Scottish Government, and is a group of academics, politicians and consultants working to create a set of transparent, consistent and accurate rules for carbon accounting across the Scottish economy.
This event is the first in a series of stakeholder events/consultations to explore and reach consensus on common measures to evaluate carbon in SMEs. Organised in partnership with the Crichton Carbon Centre, the workshop will focus on a number of core issues regarding carbon accounting in SMEs and provide an opportunity to identify topics for future focus. The event will feature short scene setting presentations followed by round table discussions of key questions.
The workshop will be held at The Postgraduate Centre, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh on September 7 2011. For more information on the event (including the programme and the key questions) and to register, visit http://icarb.org/2011/02/23/small-and-medium-enterprises/.
The workshop is free to attend and refreshments will be provided.
We welcome your input prior to the event regarding the key questions (even if you are unable to attend) - please email your views to r.dunk@carboncentre.org
